She was born Nov. 2, 1932, in Tooele, to Willis George and Muril Healey Gaisford. She graduated from Tooele High School in 1951. She married Robert F. Davis on Aug. 26, 1950. The marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. They are the parents of Robert Terry Davis, Sharon Richards, Lisa (deceased) and Richard Lee Davis. She was a homemaker and held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teaching Primary and Sunday School, secretary and loved Cub Scouts. Lu and Bob both loved working in the ward library and with the Cub Scouts. She loved her family and the extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also her club friends who starting after high school graduation, still get together each month. She spent many years caring for her mother and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband; children, Terry (Michelle) Davis of Oregon, Sharon Richards of Tooele, Richard (Caryn) Davis of West Valley City; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Cochrane; and special niece, Jerri Bateman. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Moore; parents; sisters, Beulah Bateman and Beth Poorman; and brother, Dan Gaisford.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 11 a.m., at Tate Mortuary. Friends may visit with the family 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior the service. Interment in the Tooele City Cemetery.
