Fern Stolworthy White, age 91, passed away on Oct. 24, 2007 in Vernal.
She was born June 7, 1916, in Shelley, Idaho, to William Dodd and LaVera Stolworthy. She married Newell Gibbs, they later divorced. She then married Charles Ford White on Dec. 7, 1954.
Fern worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings throughout her life. She found great joy in serving others.
Fern is survived by her children, Larry (Marydith) of Vernal, Winifred Grimshaw of New Turtle Beach, Fla., Warren (Katherine) of Livermore, Calif., Marti Gilmore (Jerry) of Kayenta, Ariz., and Susan White of Price; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. White and son, Richard Keith Gibbs.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main St., Tooele. Graveside services will be on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. at the Grantsville Cemetery.
