A very loving and caring man passed away on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008. He was a great dad, husband and son. Ned William Boswell was born in Nephi, Utah on Dec. 29, 1917 to Alma Sylvester and Celia Ellen (Nellie) Cartwright Boswell. He was raised in Eureka, Utah and lived there until moving to Tooele where he married Katherine Lloyd on April 28, 1942. Together they loved and raised three children: Marie (Jack) VanGrimbergen, Vickey (Brent) Curry, and Richard (Tunie) Boswell. Ned worked from an early age to help his family. He was in the CC Camp at Topaz Mountain, worked in the mines at Mercur and served in the Army. Like many Tooelean’s he worked at the International Smelter and then went to work at Tooele Army Depot when it was just getting started. He retired from there with 30 years of service. Dad loved working with wood; he could build just about anything. He and mom worked on our home and he built a camper for our family. He is survived by his children, all of Tooele, eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and many nephews and nieces. His brother Max (Marge) Boswell and sisters-in-law Lois Boswell and Maxine (Clint) Dymock of Tooele, brother-in-law Vince Jones of Dutch John, Utah. Preceded in death by his wife, parents and brother Elmo Boswell and sister Margaret Jones. We are so grateful to all the angels at Cottage Glen; they are truly special souls. Thanks to all of you who visited him, it meant a lot to him and us. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at Tate Mortuary from 10 a.m. to noon with grave side services following at the Tooele City Cemetery.
