Dennis Edward Keene was arrested after the victim was interviewed at the Children’s Justice Center back in mid-January. She told investigators Keene had been coming to her home for sometime — when she was alone — and forcing her to have sex with him, according to a probable cause statement.
Keene allegedly threatened the girl with a pocket knife during some of the confrontations.
Friends of the teen told police they had been privy to text messages sent to the victim by Keene telling her that he would kill her if anyone found out about the encounters, according to court documents.
Keene was charged with one count of first-degree felony rape, two counts of first-degree felony forcible sodomy, and second-degree felony forcible sex abuse. He posted bail in late January and was put on house arrest.
A jury trial is scheduled for Dec. 10 and 11.
