The Dugway baseball team had runners at first and second in the seventh inning with no outs, but could not push a run across the plate to tie the game against Intermountain Christian on Tuesday.
Intermountain Christian ended up shutting out the Mustangs 1-0. Brock Christiansen threw a four-hit shutout for the home team while Dugway’s Zack James also was strong on the mound giving up only five hits.
“We hit the ball hard all day, but right at people. We couldn’t find the gaps,” said Dugway coach Jaren Wadsworth.
The Mustangs will host a doubleheader on Friday when they face Manila. The Mustangs are 3-3 on the season while Manila is 0-4.
