Every driver for himself at derby

I have been a faithful Tooele County Demolition Derby spectator for the last six years and it is worth the admission price to watch. What is not fun to watch is when two friends driving cars refuse to hit each other. I think the derby should be every driver for him or her self. Is there a way both the drivers and the derby commission can come together and agree on rules as a group? The derby is for the fans, and the more cars smashing, the happier the crowd. This is very true, but you can tell when the drivers are having fun, and that makes for a good derby too. My hat goes off to the derby officials and the drivers for making the derby a good clean place to bring my family for some good entertainment.

As a driver i love to hear the crowd go nuts when I finish my heat! some times it is myself and some times it is with one of my friends winning the heat also! but there are so many guy's that i have got to know and like, you just naturally end up watching each others backs.

The chance of making everyone happy with the rules is possible, if the stop letting guy's that have not been in a car or driven for years try and tell us what is safe! My car doesn't get any slower with less welding on it!

As for the two friend that wouldn't hit each other, I'm not sure which derby you are talking about, This past fair derby where two brothers didn't hit each other in the heat or main, The last S&R derby(not sure what happened, didn't attend), Last years Fair derby where six drivers through out the night didn't hit each other, Last years S&R where the same thing happened, or??????

It happens every year no matter what, I'm sure that I didn't hit everyone in my heat last year at the fair and i drove out of my heat with some one that I know, and tried to put on the wall multiple times. sometimes you hit everyone and sometimes you don't.

I would like to say Thank You for supporting Demolition Derbys, With out fans there would be no derby!
