Jeff has more than 20 years of award-winning journalism experience in Utah, Hawaii and Asia, including serving as managing editor of Utah Business Magazine and editor of Hawaii Business Magazine. He is a past fellow of the International Center for Journalists in Washington, D.C., and the Knight Center for Specialized Journalism at the University of Maryland. He is responsible for overseeing all editorial operations. Under Jeff's direction, the Tooele Transcript-Bulletin was named the best small newspaper in the state by the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists in 2007, 2009 and 2010. Jeff is a graduate of Grantsville High School and the University of Utah.

Rachel is responsible for editing the Hometown section of the newspaper. She also reports on Tooele City government, environmental issues, agriculture and medicine. She is a graduate of Dixie State College of Utah's mass communication program, where she was an editor for the college newspaper for four consecutive years.

Mark directs all editorial coverage of sports in addition to reporting on a wide range of events from high school football to international racing. He has a wealth of journalism experience, having worked for four other newspapers in the state. Mark grew up in Tooele County and graduated from Grantsville High School and Brigham Young University.

In 2009 and 2010, Maegan was named Photographer of the Year in the Transcript-Bulletin's circulation class by the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. She also won top honors for Best Sports Photograph and Best Feature Photograph in the 2010 Utah Press Association's Better Newspaper Contest. She is a graduate of the University of Utah's journalism program and Tooele High School.

Tim Gillie

Tim covers education, Tooele City government, business, real estate, politics and the state Legislature. He became a journalist after a long career as an executive with the Boy Scouts of America. Tim is a native of Washington state and a graduate of Central Washington University.

Gumby is under assignment of Sports Editor Mark Watson and also contributes feature articles in other sections of the paper. He also is a free lance writer for other periodicals in Utah as well as in firearms and hunting magazines throughout the country. He also produces outdoor and sports videos. He is fluent in Japanese.

Her Garden Spot column gives expert advise on gardening in the Tooele Valley and her Homefront column presents fun cooking and home projects. She occasionally contributes Hometown feature stories and many articles for the Transcript-Bulletin's special publications.

Joel Dunn graduated from the University of Utah in 1952 with a degree in Journalism. He became publisher of the Tooele Transcript and the Tooele Bulletin in 1964 upon the death of his father Alex Dunn. In 1994 Joel retired from the newspaper and the Board of Directors elected his son Scott to succeed him as Publisher.

Scott started out at age 9 as a newspaper carrier and has worked full time for the company for 36 years. He is married to the former Kathleen (Pannunzio) Dunn, and is the proud father of three beautiful daughters: Aimee Lynn York (John York), Lori Kay Lawrence (Miles Lawrence) and Stacie Anne Dunn. He is also the proud grandfather of four grandsons — Scotty and Grant Lawrence, Kameron York and Ethan Hasty — and three granddaughters — Kaisha Marie, Kerianne Jane and Kennedi Ellen York.
