Army PFC Del Ray A. Villaverde has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. and advanced individual training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. During the past 17 weeks he has learned the Army mission, core values, exercises in drill and ceremonies, Army history and traditions, M-16 rifle marksmanship. He’s learned map reading, computer mapping, armed and unarmed combat as well as field maneuvers and hand-to-hand combat. His first field base will be Fort Campbell, Ky. where he will train with the 101st Air Assault group.

Del is the son of Lezlee Villaverde of Grantsville.

He is a 2009 graduate of Grantsville High School.
