Every part of the United States speaks a different dialect. According to Ann Sanders -- one of Grantsville's newest citizens with a southern twang that she's quite proud of -- those in Tooele County are the ones with an accent.

Sanders first traveled to Grantsville last summer to visit a college friend. After returning home the 28-year-old couldn't get the town out of her mind.

"I just fell in love with the small town," Sanders said. "I lived in the big city of Lexington and I visited Grantsville during the Fourth of July. Although that's a huge holiday back East, I loved the quaint little hometown feel in Grantsville."

After the warehouse she was working at went bankrupt in February, Sanders felt she had nothing to hold her back and made the move to Tooele County. She found a smaller house for sale and moved in. With a degree in music Sanders plans to teach piano, guitar and voice lessons.

"I kind of feel like I'm living the story behind Meredith Wilson's 'The Music Man,'" Sanders laughed. "I'm not necessarily looking to get married and I doubt the county has a lot of eligible bachelors, but I'm happy where I am right now."

Sanders only has one complaint about the county so far.

"I do prefer the drier climate you have here, but you're not kidding when you say you live in a desert. I really miss my green rolling hills and woods back East, but your sunsets with the lake and the mountains are breathtaking."
