Virginia passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2008. She was born October 10, 1931 in Taos, N.M., to Herbert and Annie Quintana. She graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic High School in Taos, N.M. and attended the University of Utah.

She married Eddied DeVargas on November 28, 1952 and made their home in Tooele. She was a member of St. Marguerite's Catholic Church where she held many positions, 22 years on the Altar Society, President of the Ladies Guild. Woman of the year in 1987.

Virginia was with the Salvation Army for 27 years and the Girl Scouts for over 36 years. She loved her family and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie, her daughter Edwina, her parents Herbert and Annie Quintana, and brother Fred Quintana. She is survived by Robert (Tracey) DeVargas, James DeVargas, Virginia (Stanley) Roberts, Julia (Kurt) Braun, many grandkids and great grandkids. Eloy Quintana, Eleonor Quintana, Charlotte Dominguez, Andrew (Andrea) Quintana, Nina Montoya, Adel DeHerrera, Denial Quintana. Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. and Mass is at 10 at St. Marguerite's.
