From: Cleveland, Ohio

To: Stansbury Park

Careers will take you far. For Brian Bennett, it took him 1,592 miles and more than 1,600 feet in elevation change as he and his family moved from Cleveland, Ohio, to Stansbury Park.

Brian, 42, and Angie, 43, along with their two children, 9-year-old Hannah and 5-year-old David, left their home of three years to settle in Tooele County.

Upon deciding where to live, they chose Stansbury because it serves as a geographic half-way point between Brian's job and Angie's.

While Angie works in Salt Lake City as a nurse at Primary Children's Hospital, Brian commutes to Dugway where he is a test officer.

But Stansbury has proven itself to be ideal for much more than just its location. The Bennetts also like being outside the rush of Salt Lake City, and they have found Stansbury is much slower.

Although it was hard to leave the friends made back in Cleveland, they are pleased with the friendliness of people here. The Bennetts also enjoy the weather and find Utah's scenery to be more pleasing than Ohio's.

"There is just more to do here," explained Angie. "There's hiking, skiing and just the outdoors."

Utah will always hold a place in their hearts, not just because they live here now, but because Brian and Angie met here 10 years ago.

The Bennetts also find it nice to be closer to the people they love.

"We have family in California and Oregon," Brian said, "as well as roots in Logan."

As the reasons pile up, it's clear to see that the move was a good one for the Bennett family.
