The Cowboys will seek to shoot down the Bear River Bears Wednesday in Grantsville in a quest to finish in a tie with their rival for the Region 11 title.
Grantsville's record is 17-2 overall and 7-1 in Region 11 action with two home games remaining. After the Cowboys face the No.1-ranked Bears they will host Morgan in the final region game of the season on Friday.
The Cowboys tuned up for their final two home games with an 11-1 victory at Logan on Friday. Grantsville pitcher Lindsey Dalton allowed only two hits, but one of Grantsville's three errors for the game allowed the Grizzlies to score a run in the third inning.
Grantsville led 5-1 until the sixth when the Cowboys scored six runs on five hits.
Bunderson, Oltjenburns, Korryn Coates, Taylor, Young and Chelsea Dalton all scored runs in the sixth inning.
Grantsville lead-off hitter Breanna Bunderson and second hitter Mallory Oltjenbruns each scored three runs in the game. Cleanup hitter Krysta Taylor scored two runs with a single and a double and also drove in two runners.
Chelsea Dalton smacked a triple in the game and Annie Young blasted a home run.
