Thomas Allen Shields, 60, beloved brother, father and grandfather, passed away April 29, 2008 at Mountain West Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1947 in Tooele to Joseph Allan and Irene Elizabeth Vowels Shields in Tooele. He served in the United States Army in Europe. His hobbies were camping, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed going to family birthday celebrations.

He is survived by one brother John L. Shields (Bianka), Tooele; one sister Susan I. Hostutler (Boyd), Sandy; two half-sisters Jodie L. Castagno (Kelly), Tooele and Myrtle Mae Priest, Grantsville; three step-brothers, 3 step-sisters, two nephews Mike J. Shields and family and Jerry L. Shields and family; one son Adam Shields and two grandsons.

Preceded in death by father Joseph Allan Shields, mother Irene Elizabeth Vowels Shields, two brothers Joseph Allan Shields Jr. and Charles Henry Shields, grandparents, one step-sister Peggy Erickson, one step-brother Jack Petroff, and a nephew Frank P. Shields.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Lakeview Ward Church, 2053 Churchwood Dr., Lincoln. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.
