THS Alumni Foundation (12th grade)

This scholarship is for a well-rounded THS graduate. Must show community or other involvement, extracurricular activities, scholastic ability, and a personal statement to indicate why you should be the recipient of this scholarship. Application must be submitted to the Counseling Office by Deadline: May 2.

Tooele City Mayor's Scholarship (12th grade)

Applicants should be residents of Tooele City, been enrolled at THS all four terms, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have participated in extracurricular activities and community service. Application must include three letters of recommendation. Scholarship is for $1,500. Deadline: May 2.

Tooele City Council's Scholarship (12th grade)

Barrick Mercur Foundation Scholarship (12th grade)

This scholarship is awarded to a well-rounded student who demonstrates a need and a desire to continue their formal education and has not accumulated significant scholarships from other institutions. Applicants must be graduating student from Tooele or Grantsville high schools. Applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline: May 2.

Steadman's Mechanic Scholarship (12th grade)

This $1,000 scholarship is being sponsored by Bruce and Lynda Steadman through the Alumni Association. The scholarship must be used for a mechanic major at an accredited college or university. The money will be divided equally each semester. This application must be submitted to the THS counseling office. Deadline: May 2.

Steadman's Music Scholarship (12th grade)

Nolan and Christie Steadman are sponsoring this $1,000 scholarship through the Alumni Association. The scholarship must be used for tuition for a music major at an accredited college or university. The money will be divided equally each semester. The recipient must maintain a 3.25 GPA to receive the second $500. This application must be submitted to the THS counseling office by Deadline: May 2.

Chemical Lime Company--Tom Chambers Scholarship (12th grade)

This $1,000 per semester scholarship is based on financial need, demonstrated high moral integrity, involvement in activities, demonstrated work ethic, and a passion for a career goal that can be articulated. Applicants are required to provide a short essay, resume, and three letters of recommendation. Students should submit these materials to the Chemical Lime Company in Grantsville. Deadline: May 2.

Dallas Roberts Academy of Hair and Aesthetics (12th grade)

Three scholarships are available for students of Tooele High School to attend the Dallas Roberts Academy of Hair and Aesthetics in Provo. The top award is $1,000. Students must submit a short essay. Applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline: May 2.

Clar's Auto Center Mechanic Scholarship (12th grade)

This is a $500 scholarship to be used for tuition for a mechanic major at an accredited college, technical college or university. The money will be divided equally each semester and will be paid directly to the school. Application must be returned to Mrs. Swan in the counseling office. Deadline: May 9.

England Music Scholarship (12th grade)

This scholarship is available to those interested in pursuing a career in music. Scholarship considerations include music lessons and classes taken, participation in music programs, voluntary help beyond what is required, mentoring other students, being a positive role model, and recognition by faculty and/or administration as having an interest in and talent for music. Applications are available in the counseling office, and should be returned to Mrs. Swan in the counseling office. Deadline: May 9.

Neumont University (12th grade)

This university offers several scholarships for partial tuition. They offer accelerated bachelor's and masters degrees in computer science. The campus is located in South Jordan. One scholarship has been reserved specifically for Tooele High School graduates. Applications are available in the counseling office or online at www.neumont.edu. Deadline: summer semester -- May 19; Fall semester -- September 15.

NextSTEP magazine scholarship (9th-12th grade)

This scholarship is worth up to $20,000 for tuition, and is open to all high school students by random drawing. Students can apply online at www.nextSTEPmag.com/WinFreeTuition. Deadline: June 20.
