Born: July 11, 1928 Died: May 2, 2008

Darlene was born the youngest of eight children to Edwin Pace Hatch and Ethel Catherine Gooch Hatch in Cove. She attended elementary schools in Richmond, Hyrum, and Paradise, and Auburn, Wyo. She graduated from South Cache High School in Hyrum.

She married G. Reese Richman on September 27, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived most of their married life in Tooele, where Reese taught school for 35 years. Darlene worked at Utah State University as a secretary and at Tooele Army Depot as a secretary and budget analyst.

Darlene is survived by three children: Bradford Richman, Sue Armstrong (Roger), and Jana Richman (Steve Defa); five grandchildren: Ryan and Rachel Armstrong, Amber, Brandi, and Kurtis, Richman; daughter-in-law Annette Richman; siblings: Agatha Allen, Terrance Hatch (Helen), Tarrell Hatch (Zona), Carrell Thorpe, Leona Miller (Kae), Bartley Hatch, and sister-in-law Faunda Ree Hatch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Myron Hatch, brothers-in-law Ivan Allen and Donald Thorpe, Sister-in-law Ilean Smith Hatch.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Tooele 11th Ward Chapel 180 S. Coleman, with a visitation the hour prior Wednesday at the church as well from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main St. Tooele. Interment Paradise City Cemetery, at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
