The Miss Tooele County Dairy Princess Ambassador Pageant is coming up fast. It is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, at the Tooele Senior Citizens Center. This program is available to all single females who are at least a junior this year at a Tooele County high school and no older than 23, have never been married, and have never been pregnant. You must have and maintain a 2.8 GPA. There is no swimsuit or talent portion. You will be judged on a personal interview, on stage question, evening wear, physical fitness and a dairy jingle. A $500 scholarship will be awarded to the princess, and two co-attendants will receive $250. You will be taught and helped with everything you will be judged on prior to the pageant. This is a year-long contract and the royalty will be asked to make several appearances including but not limited to: the Fourth of July parades, Tooele County Fair, Christmas parades, and the following year's pageant. The princess will continue on to compete at the 2008 state competition. It is a wonderful opportunity for scholarships, fun, involvement, and it looks great on resumes. If you are interested and would like more information please call Cheryl Adams at 843-3150 during the day or in the evening at 882-3544 or 830-6989 or call Miss Tooele County Dairy Princess 2007 Amanda Griffith at 830-0329. Application packets are now available, and can be picked up in the Commission Office at the County Courthouse in Room 208 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Deadline for all application and paperwork is June 2, at noon. There will be information meeting on Monday, May 15, at 4 p.m. that you are encouraged to attend in room 208 at the County Courthouse.
