John "Snub" Rydalch age 86 returned to his heavenly home on April 29, 2008. He was born on January 25, 1922 to Jethro Clyde and Janet H. Cook Rydalch in Grantsville.

Snub married Helen Joyce Johnson of Stockton on June 18, 1947 where they made their home and had over 60 wonderful years together. Together they raised five children: John (Debbie), Danny (Cindy), Sally (Mark) Wientjes, Tim (Sherri), and Penny (David) Thomas. He was the greatest father a kid could have, he taught them to ride a horse and love the cowboy life.

Snub served in WW II in the South Philippines and retired from the Tooele Army Depot. He was actively involved in the High School Rodeo at the local, state and national levels for over 40 years and received many recognition's and accolades for it. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an active member of his community of Stockton serving on the town council over the town water system. He was known throughout Tooele County for his horse shoeing abilities, passing this legacy onto his sons and grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, all five children, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Sisters: Ida (Earl) Reynolds of Montana, Jenny Taylor of Magna. He was preceded in death by his parents, two great granddaughters, six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Stockton Ward. Friends may call at the Tate Mortuary on Thursday, May 1 from 6-8 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the Tooele Cemetery.
